.Summary
AI Tutor aimed to expand Brainly's potential to answer any question on any subject that a student might have connecting this new solution to the company's premium plan that counts with specialized tutors. Those professionals would also leverage the answers given by AI to elaborate further explanations whenever a student asks for them.
The idea was that students could start the flow by asking AI first.
During a session, they would be able to get tailored answers at any time and if they still need further explanation, they would be able to connect with a specialized Brainly tutor.
By doing that we believed we could expand Brainly's potential for answering questions related to more subjects.
And also Brainly would be able to provide answers to a wider variety of questions within each subject, with greater precision and speed, thus reducing operational costs to the company, among other benefits.
The project progressed through various stages, ultimately culminating in a successful first small release to a subset of users (20% on the web) in the middle of 2023.

1. Innovative Learning Solution: Introducing the AI Tutor feature sparked significant interest among users, showcasing a strong demand for cutting-edge learning tools.
2. Enhanced User Engagement: The AI Tutor button received remarkable engagement, with 3.3 million views and over 50,000 clicks. Notably, its click-through rate exceeded that of the traditional 'Ask an Expert' button by fivefold, demonstrating its effectiveness in meeting user needs.
3. Seamless Web Integration: The AI Tutor feature was seamlessly integrated into Brainly's web platform, reaching 20% of users upon its launch on June 2nd, 2023. This integration ensured easy accessibility and widespread adoption of the new feature.
4. Positive User Feedback: Despite receiving relatively few session ratings, the AI Tutor feature garnered notable satisfaction among users.
A substantial percentage of sessions received a 5-star rating, with an additional 27% earning a 4-star rating, contributing to an overall positive user sentiment.
While some sessions received lower ratings, the feature maintained an average rating of 3.9 out of 5, indicating favorable user perception overall.
